Where in nor cal are you located? I am in Sac, and I would like to take a look at it this weekend. By "non-op, do you mean non-running, or non driveable? What shape is the interior in? Do you have a clean title? Will there be a problem with smog?

What she told me is that the turbo seals would probably need to be done to pass smog.......

What it would need is about a $250 part (reman) and basicly the major part of the turbo. You could put the actual seal in but many times that seal fails because the impeller shaft is warped. That seal is also the bearing. When it goes the impeller wobbles and might have damaged fins. It's best to replace most of the time.
Not really a bad repair as long as the bolts come out. Might need a exhaust manifold gasket if you cant get to all the housing bolts.
If that truck was withing 300 miles of me It would have been sitting in my drive by now.
SMOKING price. I'd be all over it. Still way under going rate even needing that repair.

I Think someone is Picking it up this weekend.
If not I will let yall know.
I don't think it would pass Smog as is..
And IT runs and Drives but it is a Dog...
Because of the Turbo thing it sends the Auto Tranny in Limp Mod and starts out in 2ed gear.
Once Turbo is Fixed you Pull the Fuse and Reset the computer:)
