ok, im bobbing and adding chevy springs. (4runner)
by looking at it i could extend my frame and move the rear axle back alittle. Looks to be about 3 inch, and then cut the wheel wells out to allow the tyres to fit. I was thinking this would inprove the break over angle even more, anyone done this or am i wasting my time?

It would HURT your breakover angle, but help the departure angle.
oooops thats what i meant.
anyway, i thinking with the front axle foward an 1 1/2 inch and the rear back say...2 1/2 i am 4 inch longer in the wheel base.
drive line raised 2 inch.
Am i getting to long?

IMO... I'd be PITA.. If you want more wheelbase redrill the perches and run offset pin springs.. that'll get ya 3" and it looks cool as hell......:skull:

I agree w/ Tin Bender's Goat. I just moved my front axle 2.5" forward by redrilling my perch and plate & will move my rear back 3" tomorrow. It looks badass, my spring hangers will be much harder to hit now.

Your wheelbase is the same as my Reg. Cab p/u and gaining WB on a 'Runner wouldn't be bad, especially if you consider that overhanging rear you got.

Nice! Moving your rear axle back a few inches still wouldn't hurt! Sounds like this is going to be a cool 'Runner! Good Luck!
fyi, your tailgate wont fit anymore depending how much you bob and if you've got a huge bodylift.....brad
got the tail gate sweet, no dramas there, and it has a 2 inch body lift.

Hey nick sorry to throw a spanner in your works but if your going to extened the frame and move axle back 3" and then bob wont the frame stick out past the body?
no it will be about 3 inch and the frame will be to the edge of the tail gate, cut the frame on 45 angles and it will open and close sweet.
run a 4x2 beam frame to frame accross the back and gusset the frame where it is cut.
Yeah i am full of ideas, not good ones, but ideas:flipoff2: :flipoff2:
