and here i am now. Any suggestions on how to build the bed would be appreciated, i've got some ideas but i'm still not sure. Hopefully another month or so and i'll be ready to go hit the trails again :D

I built one of those about 3 years ago. It definitely worked better than the bronco body for the tight trails i run here. I just made a little flat bed and mounted the spare and gas tank to it. I also moved the front cab mounts back. I cut off the original towers and frame mounts, and used 4" square tubing positioned about a foot rearward. I beefed up the floor in this area and used stock rubber mounts. This mod made it pssible to run 36's with no lift and no rubbing. I did cut out the fenders tho. That was a fun little truck, mostly because i only had about $1000 into it:)

I really like the looks of that setup.. My cousin has a 83' bronco with a 84 F-150 cab on it, and a tube flatbed/box. I really like how they turn out.

I have looked all over hell for the details on how to do this swap. How about a rundown of the major points :confused:

there is only one big difference on mounting up the pickup cab to a bronco frame. The rear body mounts on the bronco are on the outside of the frame while on the f-150 they are on the inside of the frame. By putting 3" lift blocks on all the mounts I was able to put 2x4 rectangular tubing over the mounts and drill new holes for the cab mounts. The bronco mounts are also lower than the f-150 mounts so it took another set of 3" lift blocks to get the cab set on the 2x4 tubing.

Mike i'm still trying to figure out the wiring, but the shop is closed until tuesday so i'm not worrying about it now. I found a wiring diagram and hopefully the colors match up

yep thats me. you mean the wiring for the 3G? I swapped one of those in, so if your looking for the stock wiring I cant help you. Let me know either way

Well I finally got the wiring figured out and it now moves under it's own power. Mike i'm gonna be needing that bumper soon, I should have it mostly done by the end of the month :D

nu-bronco, do you need the wiring for a stock alternator? In one of the piles of wiring i destroyed to get this working i have the alternator wiring still hooked to the alt. I can get pics if you need
