Since lifting my '98 and putting 35x12.50 BFG AT's on it, there's no need for the stock spare tire to be carried around under the bed.
So, who here has added an aux fuel tank to their '98 Dodge Ram with the 360 EFI engine? If you have, what tank did you use and how did you run the fuel lines etc.
Thanks,
Albin

Ive found aux tanks built specifically for the Rams a couple years ago. They come with everything to install it. Ill see if I can find the link. You can add up to a 55 gallon tank.

I havent seen it done on anything newer than a 93, but I would amagine a 91-93 fuel injected ramcharger tank would fit quite well there, and shouldnt be too hard to install.
Oh, and why not just toss a 33" spare under the bed? $5 says a 35 would fit if you deflated it first.

Actually, I was more interested in those that had engineered their own solution as opposed to buying a +$1k kit off the shelf. If I had $1k to spend, I wouldn't have to ask here.
I figure a 22 gal. fuel cell would fit under the bed, the only question is how to connect the fuel lines to the stock fuel system.

Are you wanting ot run each tank seperately, or use the fuel cell to store the extra 22 gallons and pump the gas into the main tank??

It would be SO much easier to run an electric fuel pump and just pump fuel into the main tank. otherwise you could get the stuff from a dual tank truck and try to make tha work

V10 and Jay,
Sorry, I should have clarified: I think the easiest way is to just pump from the aux into the main tank.
Any ideas or suggestions from those that have done it?
Thanks,
Albin
