Looking to do a PCV and EGR clean on my kids 92 Trooper.

in looking up the part numbers for the 3.2 V6 and it ask's if we have a SOHC or a DOHC cam ?
It list both engines in the 92. How can I tell . The vehicle is not here to look at.
What are the pros and cons anyway?

Thanks

I have heard that it is easy to clean the pcv by removing the vaccum line from the brake booster and sticking it into a bottle of "sea foam" for a minute or 2. It will smoke like a house on fire from what I hear.

you can tell what motor your have by your VIN #
The 8th character on the vin is designated to tell which motor you have.
"V" means SOHC and "W" is DOHC
(information found here at ITOG) (http://www.itog.com/vin.shtml)
IF you have a SOHC then you have 175HP stock, DOHC is 190.
Hope this helps
