Well, four of us went in together to build tire carrier/bumpers and one of "us" backed out because of not having cash, so we are stuck with enough material to build an extra one. The first one is done. It is for a YJ and is already mounted on my buddy's Jeep. Turned out real good (He is a sheet metal worker/welder/fabricator by trade). The problem is that we are stuck with the extra material to build a forth one. Does anybody want/need a bumper/tire carrier combo? It would be a brand new unit. 3/16 square tube for the bumper and 1/8 for the uprights. Trailer Hub pivot, nice latch, no rattles, etc. Just let me know if there is interest. I'd only charge for the material and the amount of beer consumed while building it, so, about $400 for the whole thing. Oh, yeah, this is not a business, so we can't make it for anything but a CJ/YJ/TJ because that is all we have materials for and what we have to make a template. If anyone is interested, I can see if I can get a digital camera this weekend and take some photos of the one we have done. We are starting on mine on Sunday, so we'll be in the my buddy's garage anyway.

OK, I'll see if I can appropriate a camera this weekend to take some pics. . .
Latch is really simple, but I think that we are going to redesign it to be a little easier to operate for mine. Strong as hell though.

The plans are very specific to the Jeep rearcrossmember and the framerails. What is your fullsize, maybe we have access to one that we can adapt it to.
