Can you, and/or have you done this with the fj80 drive flanges?
If so will the price be the same?
What do you charge to disassemble(sp?) and reassemble the hub rings from the rotors?

Didn't see a "ship to" address on your site. Where are you at?

It will be more for flanges because they wont fit in my tooling and we will have reindex each one.
$45 an hour. Most come apart easy but some take a little time. Depends on how much rust there is and if they have been taken apart before.

The FJ80 flanges have a step in where the extra studs will go. I do not know if airride can fit them.

Why is the brake mod for offroad only?

My guess is they are for "off road only" because cross-drilled rotors tend to crack. So, safety/liability becomes an issue. Just a guess though.
I assume this is the fix for shearing off lockout hubs after one has installed longfields and uprated inner axle shafts?

Just set my hubs off today for the new axle I'm building....
(2) hub bodys and (3) locking hubs for $125+shipping. Just incase I break a locking hub onthe trail I got a spare to match.
Oh and for you guys that don't know, He actually removes the OEM toyota studs and installs (6) new 5/16" Dia pins because the Toyota ones are to very low tolerance.
Should work out great with FROR upgraded hub studs...

i still do not believe i have seen an answer on being able to do FJ80 drive flanges. i run the flanges on my rear with a fror full floater. the flanges do have the step in, so it sounds doubtful.

Really? Not on mine he didn't. Just four and they are only 1/4", not 5/16.

After weeks of measuring different toy hubs we found that Toyota didn't keep a very tight tolerance between the pins and the studs. It was much easier for us to get a tighter tolerance by replacing the factory pins with 5/16 pins.
So far as I know no one has broken either setup.

can you remove a broken factory dowel? It doesn't protrude past the the surface of the hub. Can you mill it out?

Yes, that's another advantage of using 5/16 pins. we can machine out the broken stock pin and then enlarge the hole to 5/16.

Here what mine looked like when I got them back from Mike. (I also had a spare hub done just incase for a trail spare since the new pins would be really hard to remove on the trail. You can also see that the pins are set at two different depths to maximize the depth in the locking hub.

Sorry to be digging up old threads. Mike, are you set up to do drive flanges yet? I'm talking about the round style flanges, unlike the FJ80 style:
http://home.comcast.net/~dtay/web_shared/drive_flange.JPG
You can see that at about 30 degrees clockwise from the factory dowel hole there is a threaded hole. Would this be a problem for putting in the extra dowel pins?
If it is a problem, can you put in just two extra dowels instead of four extras? Thanks,
Dave

Mike, are you there?
Air Ride

It looks like I would be able to get the pictured drive flange in my tooling. The threaded holes would be in the way of two of the pins, but it would still be significantly stronger than stock.

I was looking at buying the drive flanges from Marlin Crawlers to replace my lockout hubs on '84 toyota axles that are under my crawler.
I was wondering if you can do the hub pin fix that you guys can do with these flanges (are your tools set up for this)?
If you think it would be a good idea then I would like to send them to you very soon.
What would the turn around time be?
Thanks
Ty

Just got finished talking to Mike, and he said the Marlin flanges he has done, the new pins haven't gone into the threaded part of the existing holes. It loks funny, but any way you look at it, the 6 pin upgrade would still be way stronger than stock.
