I am thinking of buying some used Ground Hawgs from a guy. The only problem is, he does not know if they are radials or bias.
Is there an easy way to tell?
Do the radial GH actually say Ground Hawg II on the sidewall?
Thanks in advance.

They still make HAWGS???? :laugh2:
Should be a "R" in the size or say something in fine print on the sidewall somewhere.

I had a set of the 38x15.5 Hawg radials on my 72 blazer,, they were a great tire,, they had over 30k miles on the when I sold the Blazer and they still had about 50% tread left,, the Radials have a very soft tread,, but last for ever,, and when aired down they have great sidewall flex !!!!,this Blazer was by no means a rockcrawler,, but the tires were excellent in the snow/sand, I agree the easiest way would to be looking on the sidewall where the size is stamped,, and there should be an "r" in the sizing,,, the later Radials did have Ground Hawg II on the sidewall,.
At least on the 38s, the radials are stamped 15.5x38,
and the bias plys are stamped 15x38.5
