404 Mogs

I have 8 sets in stock right now.

In Stock: Swiss Military 404 Mogs. Low mile units, they have the brakes cleaned up, brake cylinders rebuilt, pads and drums checked, all unnecassary bracketry removed, pinions converted to whatever size the customer wants, and filled with oil and greased.

One Front and one rear axle, same as above with pinion conversions installed , crated and shipped any where in North America (Major shipping terminals only).
$2150-$2400 (Depends on shipping)

I also sell disc brake kits with chevy 3/4 ton calipers and rotors with 8 lug custom billet hubs for $1100 per axle, custom axle shafts and stub shafts, custom end yokes instead of flange type pinion adapter that keeps the pinion a little shorter and looks cleaner. The end yoke is $100 per axle more and is only available in 1410 sized yokes.

I have lots of spare parts like third members, stock axle shafts, housings, brake parts etc... Now in stock CV shafts along with inner and outer stub axle for $250ea.

Please post here or PM me.

Some info on the specs on these axles.
69.5" wide front axle
69" wide rear axle
Drum brakes
Selectable lockers
7.54 to 1 final gear ratio
1.25 ton strength rating
Tight turning
CV joints on steering axles

I emailed you but have not heard back yet so I will try here. Price for two fronts and 2 rears, shipped to Fresno, CA 93725. One set with toyota flanges and on set with 1410 yokes. Both drum brakes. Are prices US or Canadian? Do you have any pictures, just to see condition.

Thanks,

Kent

I emailed you a picture a few minutes ago. The condition is VERY good these are very low mile units, average milage was around 15 000 miles.

Two sets delivered to Fresno one with toyota flange pattern, and the other with the shorter end yokes, both rebuilt drums.

$4550US shipped to your door.

taradon

I believe it will be around $2300, I will have to check again if you order because shipping prices are going up and so is the fuel surcharges.

Hey...I am just starting to understand these axles and what needs to be done with them to work for my vehicle. Where should I go to learn more. I read most of your site and related links...Hulk etc. I understand the pinion deal and the disc brakes are where most people start. But I have tons of questions...stearing, highway driving, wheel/tires with stock drums, driveline angles in front, what most use for T-case, and everything else I can't think of... Where should I go for more information?

Don,
I bought a set of 404's from you a few months ago. I am still waiting on 20's from Stazworks to finish the install. I want another set but need passenger side front pinion. I have read it's possible (anythings possible) but is it practical. I want to put them in my rover and not mess with changing the t-case. Can you do this and if so how much $$$?

Thanks and first set of axle were in great shape.

Kent

taradon
08-06-2004, 07:38 PM
yes we can do it, if you want me to move the pinion I assume you would like me to move it way over so it isn't as centered? If I was to move it to the stock location on the other side I could reuse the long side axle shaft but I would need to make a new short side with long splines for the locker gear. We have done this before but it does take a few bucks to do. Email me at taradon@uniserve.com and we can talk about it.

Thanks

i have the same question. would like to run these in a toyota. what would it cost?

taradon
09-11-2004, 11:20 AM
The housing, and axleshafts would be $1200, It is a lot of dicking around on the housing and everything is jigged and welded properly using spray transfer, .062" iron core wire, 380 amps, etc... then it is turned on a huge CNC lathe to make everything perfect. The housing is $500 and the axle shafts are $700.

-Don

taradon
09-11-2004, 11:21 AM
Oh and there will be no core charge on the housing, I can just send you the parts and you can bolt it all together.

Is there a way to set it up to use stock axles?

taradon
09-15-2004, 08:17 AM
No, You need at least one custom axle shaft because the long side axle shaft splines are twice as long as the short side to facilitate the locker gear. So if you flip them around you have to make at least one shaft, if you are going to spend all that money already you should spend the extra $350 and get a better pinion offset while you are at it.
