A buddy of mine is building an EB and he's trying to decide on what tires to run. His plan is to run 37" radials and he asked me for my opinion. I have a personal preference for TSL/SX's on my EB but what has everyone's experience been with the new breed of 37" radials? I know that MTR's are great but they aren't available to the general public:mad3:

It's my opinion that SSR's or BFG's would be better on the road but their sidewalls aren't strong enough for rockcrawling. Especially considering the weight of an EB.

So let's hear it. What's been your experiences?

Thanks for the pic:) But what I'm really trying to find out is are the radials tough enough for rockcrawing. My experience is that they aren't up to the challange.

On a "lead sled" like a bronco, depends on his driving style and the difficulty/type of the rock crawling. Sharp jagged stuff, bet they don't last long, Moab type rock... Had radial TSL's on the Scout I had for awhile, they don't mix well with heavy vehicles. Hell for that matter they didn't fair well on my Scrambler either, put its FAT (over weight) too.

Thanks for the input:) That's basically what I told my friend. He just has to decide weather he wants a nice ride on the street or a great rock tire (TSL):D

Most of the SSR's i see run to hot, so you have to groove them out

only slashed one in about 2 years
my friend ran 37's SSRs on his 2500 chevy, a few had some bubbleing of the tread, but after they got it fixed, the got over heated,
but he aired down to about 15 on them, and never lost a sidewall, but he only had about 5 trips on them
