Just wanted to know if you have to smog them in CA. Does anyone know about this? Thanks for any info.

I just got off the phone with C.A.R.B. :rolleyes:an 800# at that. The guy I spoke to stated that as long as your LPG/propane system is stamped with an "Executive Order" number, usually beginning with a "B" and followed by a 2 or 4 digit number separated with hyphens(i.e. B-12-34), then you should be legal. Once you have it, call C.A.R.B. at 800-363-7664(CA) or 800-242-4450(outside CA) and give them the E.O. number. They will need to know the year, make, model, and powertrain specs. Once you have all of this confirmed you go to the Referee and then you will receive your Exemption. After that you will supposedly NEVER have to smog it or have it tested after that.
As far as outside of CA, you can have your vehicle certified by C.A.R.B. which is considered 50 state smog compliant, but it is up to your individual state as to if you still need to pass the tailpipe test.

Hope this helps! Keith
