Total dumb question for everyone...I have a 93 YJ with a hair under 130k. The clutch still feels good but I am paranoid that it'll go out on me soon. What kind of milage did you get with your clutch.
I am assuming that this is the original clutch, I bought the Jeep 3 years ago with 92k on it.
I know I shouldn't worry about it until is starts slipping or giving signs of wear but I'd like to have some type of idea on clutch life.
Thanks.

If its the original clutch, I'd be amazed. The hydrolic throwout bearing/slave cylinder is only good for about 70K miles in my experience. I'm on my 3rd. Have to be a fool to drop the tranny to replace it and not throw a clutch in there at the same time. As for the clutch, I've replaced mine each time I replaced the slave/throwout, and have yet to see any appreciable wear on the friction disk. Just keep an eye on the clutch fluid level and if it doesnt start dropping, dont worry about it.
130k
I would be more than happy with that. Mine is just now starting to get a bit goofy @93k. Not bad if you ask me though.

I have 180,000km on my 2.5 TJ. I assume with every trip it will be the last but it just keeps going.:D

my 93' yj has 113,000 and still on the original clutch. my 87' xj lived to 220,000 miles and i was a punk ass teenager at the time.

My slave/throw-out just went out at 170K. Put a Centerforce in and still had a little life left on the original clutch disc.

Awesome, thanks all. I take it pretty easy, even on the trail so maybe it'll last me a while longer.
