81yoter 03-23-2004, 03:29 AM i have a 22r that i just put a weber 38mm carb on. i was wondering what setting you guys set the mixture screws at because the stock settings seem to be too much. also, what could cause me to lose power in higher gears (plenty of power in 1st through 3rd but bogs down in 4th and 5th no matter what the rpms or speed) im only running 33s. any help would be appreciated mr4x42u 03-23-2004, 04:10 AM Air fuel at sea level about 2 1/4 --2 1/2 turns out..will depend on elevation..Your bog sounds like its lack of fuel..hows the fuel filter and is the pump keeping up with supply?Plugged jet? 81yoter 03-23-2004, 04:43 AM the filter is brand new but the pump is stock w/ no regulator, it worked fine w/ the stock carb but i guess it could not be enough for the 38. the carb is only about 2 monts old so the jets should be fine, how do i check for plugged jets mr4x42u 03-23-2004, 05:25 AM pop the top off..the webber is easy ..there are two jets side by side..Use a flat head and pull them both off...also check the secondary to make sure there opening.. 81yoter 03-23-2004, 05:55 AM will do tomorrow and keep you informed | |
