I had a ? about front springs. the plan is to use a d44 front and i want to run about a 37" tire. i was just kinda wondering a starting point of what size spriing to use up front.

assuming you mean leaf springs:

i think youll want the longest spring possible, which flex the best.

you need to get your tires set up and find where the front tire centers in the fenderwell, then measure from the middle of the wheel to the front of your frame, double that, and youve got a good starting point.

as for width, i wouldnt go narrower that 2.5"

i was more wondering like a spring that would lift a yj 4 inches or one that might lift a full size 4 inches.
oh and yes i ment leafs

its been done with 4" yj springs. dont remember if the center pin has to be redrilled/moved cuz i havent done this swap myself. think a waggy 44 is what you want to look for. if you dont find the info you need here go to www.s10-4x4.org plenty of this style SFA swaps on there. some guys take the rear s10 leaves, add a leaf to those and use those also. s10 springs are 53" not sure if theres a diff b/w 2 and 4wd models
