Trust me, you dont want a cheap winch. You want a good price on a quality winch. I payed $775 for my HS9500i at Six States.

www.thinkjeep.com has milemarker E8000 for $399 right now.
I saw ramsey 8000 for $499 in 4wheel and off road mag.

I know that you are looking for a Warn, but these are some othre options other than that. Pretty good prices, too.

Believe it or not, Advance Auto.

Stop by and talk to one of the managers. See what kind of deal they can cut you. I don't remember off-hand, but I think their list price is $850 for an 8274, and they can usually do better than that. I want to say the HS9500 is around $750, but again, I can't remember for sure.

Before you decide to buy another brand than Warn, check the specs:

Ebay - you can buy used winches cheap. My 8274 cost about $300 + $100 worth of new parts;)

Just had to brag on my deal:flipoff2: when cararts.com had a 33% off sale, hs9500i, 550 to the door. And I think 70 of that was shipping.

The only way to go is Warn. When Surprise canyon was open :((Winch up drive down) we use to go often. We never saw a Warn winch fail, but Ramseys would burn up right and left. The Mile Marker was good but took all friken day to winch 5 feet.

I think it has more to do that this post was started in January 2002, about 18+ months ago.

I still say, if the price is within $50, to support the smaller, more local vendors, and especially the vendors on the PBB.
