Hey, they moved to the state where prostitution is legal. I guess that was so they won't feel so bad anymore when they fawk cruiser owners. :flipoff2: :flipoff2:

They better get ready for a whole other ballgame. Their bread-and-butter business was preying on techno-geeks in Silicon Valley with a lot more money than good sense. They've never really competed with other Cruiser-specific businesses because their prices are WAY out of line with reality. I'm speculating that as the supply of said wealthy techno-geeks dried up since the dotcom bubble burst, BTB was running out of people to fawk; throw into the equation the outrageously high overhead that they must have faced in San Jose, and you get an idea of what happened.

Let's see how they do in Nevada...and let this be a lesson to the other businesses.

Add Heap parts in the mix, and they just might succeed in spite of themselves.

here's the kicker:
i called dickhead brian around x-mas time and wanted to find out how much the PS plate was going for. i did'nt tell him who i was. the reply:" right now we're having a sale and they're $X but i'm out of them. i'll have some after jan 10th but to get the sale price you'd have to pay for them now and then you can pick it up after the 10th."
can you believe that?! nice try, A**HOLE!!!
has anybody else checked out their website? very competitive priceing i should say!? get a clue!!!!
:flipoff2: to brian and larry!!!!

Las Vegas will be the perfect place for them. I end up going there everty year for several weeks to run a tradeshow and I must say, I've never been so screwed over anywhere else as much as I have in Vegas with auto repair/parts facilities. Its a perfect town for the rip off artist. Get an out of towner with a broken vehicle and then charge 'em a fortune to fix it wrong.

No offense to anyone who lives there, this has just been my own unpleasant experience with auto businesses in the area over the last 12 years.

For those of you who live in Vegas, is there ANY honest respectable Cruiser shops in the area?

I'll be there for most of the month of April with my Cruiser and it would be nice to know where service is avaialble (back up plans!)

That's been my experience too! Unfortunately, I have been stranded a time or two in Vegas and have had to resort to the less than attentive shops in the area.

Where can one get parts in Vegas?

Out of about the 20 shops that I have been to (I'm taking one of he biggest toyota shops to court in march) I've only found one mechanic who is honest & has done good work (actually know his ass from a hole in the ground) on my truck in the past; Qualified Automotive (702-477-0091). the owners name is Don Williams, is a great guy & knows Toyotas (also cruisers) pretty well. Whenever I don't have time to do something or need my a/c done I go to him. Tell him Corey sent you.

As for parts, theres a guy here in town that parts out cruisers but most of the time his parts cost more than new. (I'm sure Jason knows who I'm talking about) other than that, I would reccomend the Pirate4x4 board

Thanx sixty... helps alot. I like to be prepared (as other listers have pointed out) when driving thru hostile (to my wallet) territory.

Sounds like an honest 4x4 shop could do well in the area....

screwzer,
I don't think that anyone honest does good in vegas... too many a$$holes looking to screw people over. if you do need anything drop me a line. I don't have much time but I can probably be of some help.

Cool! Hopefully, I won't need a thing while down there (I arrive around April 3rd or so). Its just prudent to have a backup plan...
