A dana axle observation.

I don't know if its a coincedence or fact, but it seems that every thick cover that I have pulled off a 44 or 60 diffy has had a Limited slip under it. Just as pulling a thin cover off was a open carrier. Just me or is this a quick way to spot a Limited slip Dana? :confused:

i seem to remember someone saying the front 44 covers on the SII were thicker than the rear, and the rear is lsd and front is open

My 78 SII D44's had thin covers, both open.
