I am doing my first SPOA conversion, and am wondering what angle to set the perches at. I am using a stock perch and a four inch block or lift spring, have not decided yet. There has got to be a better way than just saying Uh yah, dat looks bout right.

Set the axle on the stock pads on a level surface, put the new perches on, put a level on them, then weld 'um up.
Pfft...just weld the springs right to the frame :flipoff2: It'll cut down on unsprung weight.

Match the pinion angle to the same degree as the T-case flange for the rear axle, the front isnt as critical.
Like the others fella's said put a level on the perches and weld away.

don't weld them, having an ajustable pinion angle is the cats ass

I put 2-degrees in the rear and weld the front parallel.
I have welded them on others parallel on both ends.
