I have an early 1999 F-350 and my power door locks are not working. I've read elsewhere that this is a common problem and that it is the door actuators. I was going to order from a place that I found online, but they needed to know if I had two wire actuators. I have no idea. Does anyone know if an early 1999 F-350 uses two wire actuators? Also, does anyone know a good place to order these from? Thanks for your help, it is greatly appreciated.

You mean the whole system isn't working? You said "locks" - plural?
If so, sounds silly, but I have to ask... Have you checked all the fuses or fusable links??

Yeah, I've checked the fuses. All is good. This is a common problem whereby you have to manually lock the doors instead of using the power lock button or keyless entry. When you hit the power door lock button, they start to move down, but don't go. So they're getting power, but the actuators inside the door panels aren't working. I've heard of this a lot on Superdutys wherby this happens. And everyone said it was the actuators.
I was just wondering if anyone knew off hand if a 99 F-350 had two wire actuators as that is what I was going to order but didn't know? Thanks for the help.

Why don't you take the actuators out and see for yourself?
It seems like the logical thing to do, what with having to REPLACE them and all...

they are a pain in the ass to change.at work we bust them out/off with a prybar then install the new one.they are impossible to remove without breaking them.also be carefull with the door ajar switch, they break easly.
never really paid attention to the wires though?whenever I've changed them there has only been one choice

NAPA sells Ford door lock actuators except for my 1990. You can get factory ones off the internet for $84 that normally retail for $124. I have replaced all four of mine over the years.
