Hey guys who has the cheapest kit to rebuild my knuckles on my 4runner? Has anyone bought one recently? What is a fair price?

Thanks

I bought AllPro's a while back, I thoought it was the most complete kit for the money. check the site for the current price. Just don't go to the dealer...

I seem to recall that some place called "Manafree" has far and away the best deal.. although I have not purchased from them.

I think Seabass know's for sure.. Seabass?

I disagree 89YotaRunner I have one from AP and just ordered a spare set from the dealer for $76.26 and the list price was $101.48. The part number is 04434-60015 I go pick it up tonight, so I'll see if it's as complete. I am 99.9% sure it's just the felts and gaskets.

Anyway, get in good with your toyota parts guy. If you belong to a club, tell them, and they will probably give you a discount as well. I get 15-20% plus the last time he "tweeked" the numbers for me since I bought over $150 worth of misc. stuff.

I would say either the dealer or AP would be fine, but the dealer can get it to you quicker and maybe a bit cheaper believe it or not.

I wonder if the dealer kit is just seals and gaskets?

The allpro kit comes with the kingpin bearings and shims as well.

$79.00 is pretty damn cheap though and local is always good.

The description on the ticket reads Gasket Kit, Fr Axle. So you will not get the bearings, etc. I bought these for trail spares since I have new everything else already. I bet with the bearings it's real close to AP's price through the stealer.

Bones- I think it's just for the felts and gaskets with the dealer, but I pieced the kit as allpro sells it, with the dealer and it came up around $150+ but no discount. So with the discount (-shipping) it may work out to the same...
I think chris is screwing around with the site, it took me a while to find the link....rebuild kit (http://allprooffroad.com/knuckle.html)

OK, I checked and the Manafre kit is $99 and the Allpro kit is $105

Both kits are complete with knuckle bearings, bearing seals, and axle nut lock washers.

If you can do without the bearings, wheel bearing seals and lock washers, you could buy a Toyota dealer kit from Jay Marks Toyota in Houston. I bought one last summer for $59 and my local dealer wanted $110 for the exact same kit. The dealer kit does come with the shims.

cheaper is not always better the best deal is the toyota seals and bearings from the dealer there is no comparison in quiality. and in those other kits the bearings are the only thing worth a shit and thats because there Naci or koyo.

FYI the Man-a-Fra kit does't include shims for the p/u there shims are for the cruisers

that sounds like a hell of a deal but I wonder what manufacturer they're using for the bearings. The OEM Toy wheel bearings can easily cost that much on their own.
