Nice carnage.

Pabst Blue Ribbon: The beer that built America, and then subsequently destroyed it in a domestic dispute.

Now that quote is one of the best Ive seen in a while.

I think you have surpassed the strength of the Toyota 8" R&P, Profields aren't gonna help you any.

The thing is that it could have been cracked/ broken for a while before and I didnt know it.... I have over 12 races on this front end so they do last for a while... lol:flipoff2:

From the looks of the carrier, that pinion was a BIT deep to begin with.... Unless that was from a previous incident of course.

the carrier was previously used in another third I got in a parts truck from a bud of mine, he says that the installer forgot to stake the nut and we all know what happened then..... :p

It was set up correctly and had a decent pattern but It was just shock loaded like crazy when I landed and the tires evidently had more grip than the r&p did.... :D

Whos springs are those? They look like either trail disaster or rough country. Ive seen a lot of either brand bend like that really a crappy spring but what the hell theyre cheap!

Im not sure to tell ya the truth... they came on an 84 parts truck that I bought..... The guy I bought it from said that they were 3 inch lift springs but didnt rememeber what kind they were as he had bought them @ 15 years ago..... they have red bushings in them but that doesnt really mean anything because somebody could have changed the bushings....

A bud of mine has a set of rough country springs that relaxed like this this as well, they just didnt kink to this extent (prolly because he still only has a 4 cyl) but they work pretty well offroad in his case because they are pretty much flat. Anyhoo enough babbling Ill post more pix next weekend when I put the new springs and bumpstops in.
