we just got my buddy's 72 bronco sitting on the tires last night. it is too low in the front. the rear is BC broncos 5.5" coils with a 1" block. he is thinking a 2" coil spacer in the front would work, but obviously a taller coil would be a better option.

here's the catch, it has a 460 in it, just a tad bit heavier than a 302.

so what would you guy do about front springs?

thanks,
Jeff

try superflex coils from bronco graveyard, the ones that are supposed to be on the big broncos.

skyjacker 4" on left, jbg 6" superflex on right, both for a 78

aight, so will the big bronco coils just bolt in?
how much lift can we expect from a 6" full size coil, i doubt anyone knows, not a whole lot of big block early broncos running off the shelf front suspension.

how 'bout this, do any of you full size guys, that have coils you like, want to measure the length of them at right height and maybe tell me what kind of heavy stuff you have in the front (big block, winch, ect.)

thanks,
Jeff

I have 5.5 inch JBG "rock crawler" springs in my 78 that are for an eb and they hold it up about 4" Has a 400, and now winch yet either.

yeah, but he wants to go the other way...big bronco coils into an eb with a 460.

i think you will have to do some guess and check. buy some used coils if you have to find the correct length. Or get some bb stock height coils, and then see how much lift you need.

i think that JBG superflex 4" coils will be about right for you. they are designed to be used on a 78/79 bronco with a 460 and a winch. my 6" coils are 27" new and unmounted.

i changed my mind, i think you might need the 6" coils. here is a picture of the 3.5" wh rockcrawlers vs 6" superflex .
