ok i bought my 1981 toyota p/u off a car lot last month and ive been wheelin it and it works fine just never stoped that great.I thought it was becous it had 33s on it well i look under ther to day to make shure im not going to cut aney thing important . Damn the rear brake line has been looped and on further inspection no rear brakes no linings no brackets just a backing plate what do i do here .

yes i did expect that but what kind of dumb ass would actulu do that to start with i mean damn isent it agenst the law to sell a riv with out workin brakes and yes i did just o get all the parts to put the brakes back on

go after the seller, at least kik his arse! I was going to tell ya I got those parts if ya wanted um free, but u got it under control.:p

look in the 4sale section, they are there all the time, try wanted. even the wider 86-95's go for $200-250, I sold mine for $200.

You might as well go down to the junkyard and get an 86+ 4x or Runner rear end like Seabass said. I picked mine up for $299 complete with good brakes locally. If you're gonna wheel the truck, it's gonna get done sooner or later.

HOLY COW!!!!!!! I only paid 70$ for my 87 Rear axle assembly and it was complete with brakes and 3rd member...

Yes it was a local pull it yard and not from a friend or poor sap...We've got dana 60FF and 14bolt FF around here under all kinds of stuff...plenty of dana 44's in the yard I always go to as well.
