I've seen alot of tug points on rigs that I sure wouldn't hook up to!

I've personally seen bumpers ripped clean off (front smitty built on a toy pickup), hooks straightened (did this one a couple years ago...DON"T USE UNRATED HOOKS!), and some miniscule attachment points for huge shackles (D-rings)that probably weighed 5 pounds each and would easily kill you as they flew through your back window during your attempt to pull someone out:eek:

Okay, I'm done ranting :p

Just make sure you have an EXTRA HEAVY DUTY attachment point for your 12K shackle or d ring or whatever you use for an anchor or tug point on your rig!

PS I don't care if you've got a super strong shackle/d-ring...if the attachment point sucks then you could end up killing the person who is trying to pull you out...(I thought I was done ranting:rasta: )

I got stuck one time in my old YJ, and I had one of those Smittybilt "Bumper Thumper" things on it.. The dumbass who was gonna pull me out started wrapping the strap around that bolted on POS. Funny thing was, I had real tow points on either side of it
