Just finished lifting the rear of my 85 runner. I am going to lift the front end 2 inches now with shackles to match the rear. I am just wondering if I will be running into any probs with driveshaft length or pinnion angles. It is bone stock right now and will be going up 2 inches.

So you are going to put on 4" longer shackles. Yes on the pinion angle, it will also effect the castor angle on the front end. The good news is I think your D-shaft should be fine. :usa:

i would suggest seeing how it drives first, then if it's bad enough that you think you need shims, get some shims. Question: why are you lifting your truck 2" (what size tires are you trying to fit)? BTW, if your '85 4runner is anything like my '85 4runner, a 2" lift in the rear only will make the truck pretty much level, as the rear end seems to droop on these models.

oh yeah, just out of curiosity, why is your screenname 'IH8myIFS' if you have a '85 'runner w/ solid axle?

Yeah I sold my 93 pickup for an 85 runner. Too lazy to change my name....to busy working on it.
As for the rear I threw in an 1 AAL and a 2 inch shackle. I need something to get me by untill I can afford chevys and 44044's.

You will not know until you drive it. If you need shims get the steel ones and weld them to your spring perches and keep your u-bolts tight. :usa:

badass! I sold my '92 pickup for an '85 4runner a couple months ago. Couldn't be happier. Right now I'm running 32x11.50 BFG muds w/ stock susp. except for the 2" lift shackles in the back (using them with my chevy duble shackle conversion, so just threw them on now to level it out). Rear is fine, front rubs some under full flex/ full steering lock. Just take a sledge to the seam in the front fenders and get creative, you'll gain tons of clearance. My tires used to rub when turning on the street, now they barely rub even off road. I wheeled all day at Truckhaven (tierra del sol area) today, and minimal rubbing. I would suggest only buying shackles etc. that can be used in your future lift, save your money! Here's a pic from today:
