Not a newbie, but a newbie question.
My sister in law needs tires for her 1988 cruiser, and currently
has a mixed bag of tires on her wheels (28 to 30" tires) !!!!
Wants me to pick up some used ones in good shape (she's broke)

My guess is they originally came with 235-75-15 tires ?
Is that right ?

They came with puny car tires on them stock...don't bother. If you want it stock put on some 30x9.50s. If you want in to looks cool put on some 33x9.50 or 33x10.50s BFGs. They'll fit fine with 0" lift.

I want to keep it stock, this is NOT a wheeler, and want
the speedometer to read accurately.
Just a soccer-mom vehicle.

Are you saying that 30-inch tires are the factory-size tires,
and not 28 or 29's ?

No, 30" LT tires do not come "stock". I'm just saying that this is the tire to run if you want it near stock.
