There's a car that's around the corner from where I live.

I liked it so much I put a note on it and asked the guy if he was selling it. He called me and as it turns out, he is selling it.
But - it's out of my price range. He wants $6,000 Or Best Offer on it.

Well, I thought about my friends, and only two who would want it(one just moved to Oregon, and the other just had a kid) are a no go.

And I figured, hey- maybe you guys might want a swing at it before he puts it up for sale next week. He said he was going to park it out front and put a sign on it. This is in San Ramon, and most of the young kids around here have money.

I'm not selling it for him(I told him I'd do it just so you all could get a shot at it before the average kid off the streets), I'm not getting anything out of it. I don't even know the guy. I just love the car so much, that I'd like to see it end up in the hands of a good ol boy. And, the only thing I'd ask for is to hear it fire up when you get it going. The radiator is out of it and the fender up front is toast.

A few details:
1970 Dodge Charger (Gen. Lee replica)
440 Big Block -40K on motor(not original)
727 Torqueflight trans.

Here are some more pictures:

And under the hood: (the radiator in the trunk)

And the damage up front:

I think he has the fender, too.

Anyway - there you go.

If anybody wants it, all I ask is let me hear it when you got it going. Oh, and the guy said that he wants to make sure that anybody that buys it agrees that if they are going to sell it in the future, that he gets first dibs on it.
His name is Brent, (925)964-1200, or 963-1575. If those don't work let me know.

That's it.

Cheers. http://home.earthlink.net/~callthewild/smiley-faces-toast-beers.gif
