I've got advance adapter motor mounts on my 4.3 engine swap in my 85 truck and they both broke like a piece of cheap plastic.
Looking for suggestions on other motor mounts that would be stronger, like northwest for example, or other.

Nothing like building your own if you can.
Get exactly what you want.

Yep, build your own. The aftermarket's aren't worth the money. Their simple, cheap and must be marked up about 10 000%. If you build your own you get a perfect fit-and you can build them to last.

Got the material for mine, going to whack the stock mounts off the frame and go that route, should be nice when I actually start my swap.. Gotta get these other rigs outa my way first though, grrrr.

I know NWOR is a bad word (and I agree), but I used their motor mounts on my 4.3 swap, and was happy with them. They were bolt-in and adjustable. These are a good alternative to someone not wanting to build their own.

I think I'll go ahead and try to make my own. I'm still a young'un so I'm not to "skilled" in fabrication yet, heck I just got my welder for Christmas.
Just to make sure, I definately need to have a bushing in there of some kind, it can't be all solid steal because of engine vibration, right?? Hey, Roktoy, those mounts look bad ass, thanks for he pic, I think I'll try something like that.

i made mine like jay's using the moroso solid motor mount. if you go that route be sure to get the moroso mount that is a bit over 2" wide so you can use 2" box tubing to mate the round tube in for the bushing ... you can guess who got the wrong moroso mount

I had mounts like camo's on my 4runner worked great never broke, lots torque (could fill the difference compared to stock cracked mounts) but They sure make the truck vibrate real nice.
Next time I think I'll build them the same way but will try and get rubber bushings instead of poly.:)

Hey camo, thanks for the merge. I've got some track bars that I don't use with eyes and bushings at the ends just like your mounts, I was looking at them earlier today and, with a washer on both ends, look like they will be perfect.
