bkcruiser 01-09-2002, 09:10 AM just finished putting new bearings in the case. now what fluid would be best. i have a 3spd case behind th350. was running atf originally for the poss of fluid transfer between the tranny and case, but now i wonder if thats what caused all the whine, or is it just worn gears? bill. Whatever's cheapest...I change it at least once a year anyways, just out of habit. I usually pick up the 5 gallon pails. Yer 3-speed case will whine due to straight cut gears. Helical cut gears came about in the later 4-speed cases....they are quieter. IMO, ATF might cause greater wear.... Junkyard 01-09-2002, 12:13 PM I've got Redline shockproof in my t-case.
