I tried the search, but I can't find a straight answer on this one. Can some one please tell me what is max angle the front axle pinion can be tilted to and what its at stock? Thanks alot!

While I can't tell you the number(s) you're looking for, I can tell you that changing the pinion angle too much (presumably w/degree shims) will screw up your caster. When that happens you will be faced with cutting and rotating your kingpins to get the caster back to spec...

Too much angle could also result in poor oiling of the pinion bearing.

I think with the knuckle flat, you should be able to raise the pinion about 3deg. without effecting castor too much.
Someone on here should have some actual specs.

You running double- or single-cardan joints? You should be able to figure it out with that in mind and knowing what angle your output shaft is on the xcase... Shouldn't you?

...I don't know if stock is relevant, since you're modifying the truck?

I'd think with a parallel link suspension, you'd want to use a single cardan and point the pinion parallel to the front output, and using a radius-arm-style or links converging towards xcase (as viewed from the side), you'd want to run double-cardan and point the pinion at the xcase output... That's my plan.

I am running a non-cv type shaft on the front and yes I know that with that in mind I should be runnig the pinion angle relative to that measurement, but I dont want to run the chance of fucking up the caster, so with that in mind does anyone know the stock or close to that of a toyota front axle?

Stock caster is 0 degrees, the most I would go is three if even that.

Can I measure caster by placing a degree finder on top of the steering arms?
