anyone know if you have to grind the carrier on a semi-float rear locker to fit aftermarket gears.

seems like the pin won't fit with the thicker ring.

what aftermarket gears? 4.88's? yes have to grind gear tip of tooth. Not fun.

4.88 and lower need some grinding but if done properly no big deal you are grinding off the part of the gear that is not seeing much action.

Did front and rear, about 15 min each with a dremel tool for 4.88s. I checked both sides of the carrier, 1 side only interfered with 1 tooth, the other would have required removing some from 2 teeth.
