I heard they sold it? A couple years ago I saw it listed at $17,500! $13,500 for a rig that you'd need to redo a lot to make it flex :D I think it looks real nice though, but to nice for me.

It is not a runner it is a GRIFFITH TRAILBLAZERS . Toyota tested the market for SUVs by having these made in a limited production by an afermarket company build. I think there were two companies that did it, Griffith and Winnebago (sp?). They did the ame thing in the 70's for the mini 4x4. That i a damn nice look rig.  :usa:

I bet they'd drop the price over 10K for ya :flipoff2:

Also, it's not a Treeker, it's a Trailblazer. Same truck differant name is all. If it had anything but NWOR junk on it, everyone would be all wet over it ;) I personally think it's worth close to that amount, just beacuase it's rare, low miles, and in great shape. I bet it rides like a tank with those springs though!

that is a clean rig, and probably not for this group.
and the trailblazers tops do not come off and the bed is not glass. i have seen one in a yard here and there is another running around from time to time, in fact i grabbed the trailblazer tag and it is now at home on my glove box:)
i would say, throw some AP springs and crossover on there and FAWKING GET IT!

well there is a treaker 4sale here on por and the top comes off it, and I think he said the bed was glass too;) this is something toyota should buy back and put in a history museam.

they are two different trucks, made by two different companys.
trekkers are glass bedded and removable tops.
trailblazers are not.
i would guess, they had two different people build them to see what kind of reactions they'd get from the public.
and i have only seen later 82-83 trailblzers (square headlights)
and the trekkers i have seen are round headlights.
i personally like the look of the trailblazer better, and being from oregon i like the trailblazers:)
but you can go wrong with a removable top.

Winnebago made the "Trekker".
Griffith Industries made the "TrailBlazer".

One of my friends in Lemoore has an 83 TrailBlazer. It's a steel bed, fiberglass cap, and fiberglass covers between the bedsides and the cab sides. It also has an integrated roll bar inside the glass.

At least it's got those great "tank flex" NWOR springs. I bet it's got all their other stuff on it, too. Can you fit "Bad customer service" into a vehicle? :D

That's why it has the shell on the back, so the "bad customer service" doesn't get soggy, or fade in the sun!! :D

I like both trucks. I have an 82 trailblazer built up pretty good, and an 81 Trekker for my daily driver. The trekker looks a little better I think, but the glass back is not for wheeling.

I didnt know you had both.

I have an '81 Trekker. the front is all stock and the back of the cab was cut out and the fiberglass bed and canopy was bolted on. works just like a 4runner. The tops were not easily removed fromt "the factory" but after you pull them off the 1st time, its easy. As for the glass, its a atter of opinion. I like my Trekker, but sometimes I wish it wasnt "special" so I would be able to beat it more. I removed the top and have not put it back on in a long time. Even though its always raining here.

I have not actually touched a Trailblazer, but I was driving next to one, checking it out. It appears as if the top is not removable. And the Bed is stock. (which I like) But the top overlaps the bed and cab, which looks a little :barf: to me...

If I could do it over, I would have the Trekker set up with a 22RE, stock drivetrain, 33s and have it as a daily driver. To late. now, I hacked that firewall too much. That 350 needed the room. :D
