I want to run 38's on my cruiser but i am worried about rubbage.

Has anyone cut out the rear seat area/fender wells and moved them up to the bottom of where the top bolts on?

I am thinking about moving those up and extending the cut outs in the fender wells.

Is this necassary or would it be a waste of my time.

can i see some side pics of those of you running 38's waggy front springs and around 64" axles.

also what backspacing do you run on your rims with the 64" axels

This is just me dreaming for the moment so don't expect pics any time soon

Check out those pics of mine, those are waggy springs, with 65" wide D44 in front and the rear is a waggy D44. There are some side shots as well, of how I trimmed my rear q panels. The front is move forward 3.5" and the rear is moved 3.5-4 as well.

I basically took the line of the flares and cut it, it's as high as possible without cutting into the tub and far enough back that I have yet to hit it on anything.

you got it.

Do you think it is worth doing? What about the front, does it already have enough clearance (i saw some with the fronts moved up and it looked bad)

do you think it is worth the time and effort. can i get some specs on your cruiser please.

wngrog, I like that, i was thinking about going with 65" wms but i have the offset rear to deal with. I don't think that will elt me take enough off the right side to evern be close to fitting correctly.

Do you like your width, would you change it if you could, and if you could in what dirrection and how much

Thanks

I did this to mine. I cut the top of the fender well off and moved it up to the bottom of the lip for the top. I think it was well worth it. I am about 1-2" taller than a stock-spring SOA and I clear 39.5's with no rubbing at all. I would suggest putting some bracing in for the roll cage or runing it to the frame. Sorry no pics of all this though.

Fender flares?? Huh that is a strange term?? What does that mean? ;)

The pics is as the truck sits after about a year of no flares. I have 2 sets of flares that I was going to section and fiberglass to make the stretch over the new large fender but I still haven't gotten around to it. :D:D

THANKS!

Glad you like them!
I never thought about building them to sell, but a few have inquired about them and I think I better give it some thought.

I'll see what I can come up with.

I used 1.5 x .120 wall tube for the fender frame work and 1.750 x 120 for the sliders.
