Ok, I have an 82 with x-over and a locker already on my truck. I can get an 84 front axle from hub to hub for $150 that I could use for spares. Should I buy the second axle for spares or should I buy a waggy axle for ~$150-200 and build it for when I break the front axle I have now. I can get 4.10 gears for $50 and set them up myself, but then I still need a new draglink, brake lines, x-over arm. So what do you guys think. I've been building this thing for a while now and haven't been out with it yet, but it's got a 350/465 in it and I'm worried about investing more money in the Toy axle if it's going to be going snappity snappitty. One of my buddies is say Toy the other is saying waggy.

Thanks

super birfs!!!
not that i know shit about a d44
but from the reading here i would say it would be cheaper
to buy the other toy axle and get some super birfs, and you'd have spare axles and birfs then

Eric, I would get the "Waggy" front and go with the "Warn" alloy shafts. As for breaklines you can buy the "Pro-comp" SS lines for a Tacoma and they will bolt right up-no sweat. The steering X-over I'm sure you know someone out there or you can even build it, if you don't I'll hook ya up......Later:D
