i was looking at offroad design for the crossover steering.
and if i got a D60 do i need the D44 knuckles still? if i keep the front 10-bolt and go with d44 knuckles and go with a 8lug rear 14 bolt. do i need to find a 8 lug d44 front? or do theycoem in only 6 and i need to convert it to 8?
what cars came with a D60 front axle or D44 front knucles
thanks,

I think the old body style honda civics are the only cars that cme with d60 fronts. I think it was only available on the 8 cylinder models though.

I don't suppose I should flame you since this is the " newbie" section, but you going to have to go to the tech section and read some more. But here's the quick and dirty answers.
1-(i was looking at offroad design for the crossover steering.
and if i got a D60 do i need the D44 knuckles still?) - NO
2-(if i keep the front 10-bolt and go with d44 knuckles and go with a 8lug rear 14 bolt. do i need to find a 8 lug d44 front?) - NO, you don't absoulutly have to, but it will make rotating your tires alot easier.
3- (or do theycoem in only 6 and i need to convert it to 8?) NO- 8 bolt hubs to fit D44 knuckles are common.
4- (what cars came with a D60 front axle or D44 front knucles ) -D60' have come in full size 1 ton 4X4's since, oh let's say the dawn of time. If you want D44 knuckles to make a high steer crossover system (with your 10 bolt) you will need the flattop knuckles form a73-77 Chevy / GM 1/2 ton 4X4 with Dana44 passenger knuckles are flat tops. 73-87 Chevy / GM 1/2 ton 4X4 with Dana44driver's knuckle are flat tops. 74-77 Full Size Jeep (FSJ) (including Waggoneer, J series trucks, and narrowtrack Cherokee SJ) Driver and Passenger side.
