How can you tell the two apart if someone removed the nice little tag on the back? All that is on the T-case is the bar code sticker and the casting info. All I know is that the T-case came out of a 4L60E equiped Chevy. Any help in figuring out what I have would be greatly appreciated.

chevy np231 should have a passenger side front output, chevy 241 should have drivers side front outout. 231 was s10, 241 was fullsize.

That is kind of right ----the 241 was avail both right and left, but being in a full size and behind a 4l60e, your best bet would be a 241c
