all kinds of ways. box knife, grinder, sawzall, kitchen knife,tire groover

dont do it.........

might have better traction it the rain......but on dry it will wear down faster...

it is supposed to keep your tires cooler and make them last longer...yeah right..i had a set of sxs90 % tread on all four, my buddy decides to sipe one and do the next some other time. the other time never came and only one ever got siped.. well 6 mo later the siped one is at about 35% and the other 3 where at about75% the differant wear was way noticable. imho;)

If you're just siping and not grooving, use a box knife. That's how I did mine and it works great....... so no use spending money on a siping/grooving knife unless you plan to groove them sometime down the road.

also, it's probably a good idea to just sipe the center lugs. siping the outers often makes them chunk easier
