does anyone know if 1975 is a smog exempt year?

should be........if i remember right, i believe
20 years & older are exempt in CA, not sure
about NC (probably not an issue there).

Unless it changed in the last year I thought it was 74 and earlier...

Current state law to be exempt from SMOG CHECKS (you arn't exempt from ANY smog law till it is 1965 or older!) is current year - 29. 2004 - 29 = 1975...so '75's are exempt from getting a smog check.

I made the note about only being exempt from smog checks because one of the SoCalBigDawgs just got a ticket from the EPA for not having all the smog equipement on his '72 K5
