Ok im thinkin about buyin sillnecks 1952 MB A1 frame and axles. were the frames the same for these jeeps? will a stock 47 2a body fit on that frame without widening or lengthening the body? what about a spicer 18 and a t 90 tranny, will those fit too? just wonderin if anyone out there had any experience with this. thanks ps, fast info is ideal

There should be no problem putting the A1 body on the 2A frame other than drilling new mount holes. The spicer 18 and T90 were used in the CJ's and the military equivalents untill 71 so they are also a bolt in..

Silly's :smokin: crack there's no such thing as a 1952 MBA1. He might have a M38A, (flatty) or an M38A1 (round fender like a CJ5) But there is no such thing as a 1952 MB or an MBA1.
To actually answer the question of will that thing fit? all flatty's (at least as far as this discussion goes) are the same wheelbase. So yes it will work out just fine, as long as it's a flatty frame. buy it it's a good deal.
And if it is indeed a 1952 M something it could be an M38 (same body style as an MB-CJ3B or flatfender)80" wheelbase or it could be an M38A1 which is essentially an early CJ5 style. 81" wheelbase

the m38a1 frame will also be factory boxed and it is factory reverse shackle;)

ahhh well thats it then. this one is boxed and has a shackle reversal. so unless thats been added on to a m38 frame, its an a-1
