: 47 flatty body on 52 A1 frame bigwillys 01-09-2002, 05:36 PM Ok im thinkin about buyin sillnecks 1952 MB A1 frame and axles. were the frames the same for these jeeps? will a stock 47 2a body fit on that frame without widening or lengthening the body? what about a spicer 18 and a t 90 tranny, will those fit too? just wonderin if anyone out there had any experience with this. thanks ps, fast info is ideal hy_desert_4wheeler 01-09-2002, 06:03 PM There should be no problem putting the A1 body on the 2A frame other than drilling new mount holes. He might have a M38A, (flatty) or an M38A1 (round fender like a CJ5) But there is no such thing as a 1952 MB or an MBA1. To actually answer the question of will that thing fit? all flatty's (at least as far as this discussion goes) are the same wheelbase. So yes it will work out just fine, as long as it's a flatty frame. buy it it's a good deal.
