ok, i searched here and the BB, and never found a specific year(s) of f150
id like to know so i can keep my eyes open for em in the junk yard on my next visit.
also, the 2wd's are 2.5" width right? and they have 3" offset?
with the offset, is a frame extension neccesary up front?

Just about all of them. VERY common. Just go out with your tape measure and see what you find.
Some were 2.5, some were 3", never paid too much attention.
They are signifigantly longer than SII front springs, so some sort of extention will probably be necessary, expecialy if you are moving your axle forward at the same time.
Offset can be more like 6" as well....

what i was wondering about the front was if i put the 6" offset toward the front, and kept the stock hanger position, but moved the rear hanger back to compensate, would the axle still be in the fenderwell?

yeah all 2wds had 2.5's and 4x4's had 3's. You will need to extend the frame. I lengthed my frame about 6 inches and it only moved my axle a couple inches forward.
