Will a fuel rail from a 91 YJ work or does it have to be a 92-95 to run a Fuel cell in a TJ?

I can get a 91 fuel rail for free, but not sure its what I need.

your TJ needs 49.5 PSI of fuel pressure. the 91 uses less(32-39 PSI for OBD I engines). There will be a regulator on the 91 fuel rail that sets this pressure. to make it work, you will need a return line in the fuel cell for the rail mounted regulator, and you will need to probably get an adjustable regulator and set it at around 50 PSI($$$). I've heard of people interchanging the two different rails(OBD II vs. I), but I don't know if they encountered problems.

I've played with the idea of an inline regulator mounted just after the pump, and using the stock rail. you might look into that as well.

Just a thought - but could you perhaps retrofit the metal hardline (cut it off as short as you can) by using a compression fitting? That way you can cut off most of the metal line running underneath, put the compression fitting on that - with some brass misc. fittings you could then step it up to some AN size of your choice since it will clamp fittings on there. It would basically create some sort of short adapter piece (Quick release -> AN). I had the same problem when I did my OBA since it didnt have any threads near the compressor (just metal hardline), then I went to Home Depot and saw the fittings and wen't "Duuuuuuuuuuuh" I'm pretty confident that the compression fittings could withstand 60psi of pressure - the ones on m OBA are normally at 150Psi and do not leak air one bit.
