depending on how much flat steel you need i might be able to hook you
up with some scrap...whats the biggest flat peice you would need??
the steel we have is not mild steel...its T1...heat treated to 100,000 PSI
so you wouldent need as thick of sheets as you would think as compaired
to using mild steel..our shop is located in stockton off 99 on mariposa road...
Hwy 4 runs right into mariposa road when you cross over 99...let me know
what and how much you need and ill see what i can round up for ya
my work# is 209-466-0266...i am there 7am 5pm...fiday is my last full time day
tho...goin back to school so after friday it might be kinda hard to get ahold of me
at work..but if i have what you need i have keys to get in on weekends so its no
problem at all..

COOL, Dave (dad or bro?) sandblasted my boat trailer years ago! Your new shop looks nice. I do a ton of work down the street at BJJ.

Dave is my uncle...he retired a few years ago and is no longer with the company...my dad (doug) bought him out a little over a year ago.

i wouldn't recommend that t1 for regular brackets and such. i made up a bunch of targets with it and after a year they all broke off of the mild steel i had them welded to. the t 1 is a lot harder and doesn't bend for shit. mike

Hey, I've got a flat bed trailer that needs sandblasting and re-painting. How much did that run you?

DAVE did it for FREE!!! :emb: :emb:

I did a business transaction with him and asked what was the going rate on some sandblasting. He blasted the trailer and painted if for nothing. It's always nice doing business with people like Dave.

If I remember right Dave was into buggys, the kind pulled by a horse. We shot the sheiot about cool old things for a few hours.

Here it is:

shop rate is 70 per hour (i could prob knock it down some..like 65 per hr but that wouldent matter too much in the final price) ...so time and materal...we are not cheep...dont really like takin paint jobs in (we dont normaly do paint jobs on used trailers..part of the prob is the EPA regs for sand blasting old paint that has lead in it..bright colors like yellow, red, etc etc are normaly likely to contain lead) .....it would prob run ya in the 1500 area if we did it right...to tell ya the truth you would prob be better off just hand sanding or DA sanding it down and then painting your self...it would come out alot cheeper...you could prob do it your self for not any more than 300....altho if you bring it in striped down i can blast it for ya on a weekend...since i wont be workin full time after this friday i could really use the cash...so if you would be interested in just blasting it and then you can paint it we might be able to work something out in that way...
Give me a call this weekend sometime if you are interested.
My cell # is 209-444-2315...if i dont answer its prob because my phone is out of range (damn nextell :mad3: ) just leave me a voice mail and ill get back to ya

talk to ya later
