Just wondering on everyone's opinion of the V6 in a 4x4 Regular cab. Is it enought motor for some offroading or even enought for daily driving? Thanks for any help. I been looking for a 95-97 tacoma but found a possible good deal on the 92 It has 150,000 miles but only 12,000 on GM Crate motor and new tranny. Base Model $4000 New tires and alloy rims

As a newbie I feel safe saying that this should be in the Newbie discussion board.
I say it all depends on what kind of wheeling you plan on doing, what mods you are going to do, your tire size and most of all what end gear ratio you plan on having. Plenty of rigs run 100hp 4bangers and get around great.

personally, i'm not a fan of the v6 in a fullsize. if you get around to towing stuff, it really wont cut it. from what i hear it gets about the same gas mileage as a v8 though...
The 4.3 v6 is a good motor. UPS uses these in the big (older)delivery trucks and they get around pretty good.

I had a 4.3 in my truck for a long time. It is a good reliable motor and it will get you around, just not fast. If your plans are just some mild off roading and light towing, I think you should be fine. I towed a trailer quite often and did a little off roading with it, and did fine. I now have a 350 TPI, but just because I wanted the power, not because I actually needed it. If you plan to do a good amount of offroading and towing you may just want to consider a gear swap.
