It seems as if my NP203 on a beater truck I just picked up isn't working properly, it seems as if there are only 2 selections on the case shifter, high and low. Is there something that goes bad with the shifter that wont let it push/pull the arms at the right time? If there is, can someone let me know how it can be fixed, if not, just let me know how I can get it into lock, becuase it seems like its only going into high and low not high lock and low lock, it's kinda pissing me off, because I dont wanna junk the case, because the truck was only 50 bucks

This is fairly common on the 203. just remove the t-case shifter boot. remove or bend back the upper cover plate and pour some lubricant down the shift shaft I prefer atf due to the high detergents but you can use whatever you like. Then work it back and forth sometimes you have to slam it into lock the first couple of times then it will whift smoother.

low oil will cause a t-case to be hard shifting .

$50 bucks for the whole truck is well worth a $100 t-case. theyre extremly easy to find. any one who has one will proly give it to you.

look in the parts and free stuff ads .

Ya, I went through, all the linkages are connected, and dont look bent.... my main guess is that there is shit built up in the shifter box. im just gonna pull the box apart and make a new shifter, kinda like a twin stick, gotta get doin that right now.. thanks
