Looking for a few different items on the smaller end of things -
#1 Tubing with a 1" ID for use with Jeep shackle bushings - making some brackets. Thinking 1.25 with .120 wall is as close as I am going to find. Think that will be too much slop?
#2 Tubing with an ID that will take a 1/2 NF tap without a lot of drilling. Should be around .453 ID, I think. Gotta make some radius arms for the gocart. Scale model for the Sammy as well.
Found a good supplier in Turlock, just need a better idea of what to get.
Thanks

If I were in your situation, I would take the tap, bushing, and a dial caliper to my local metal dealer and take a look at the stock they have to see what will work best.

1.25x.120 should be fine for a bushing, but if you are picky you can use 1.25x.188 (.874 id) and drill out to the 1in.

Check out EMJ metals. You can do a search for ID as well as OD

Pipe is measure by ID, so 1" pipe has an ID of 1". .145 wall thickness, a little thicker than tube. Don't know if it'd work in your application, but something to consider.

Just to muddy the water on pipe a bit .....
The ID of pipe for a given size can change based on the schedule, while the OD stays the same. That way a 3/4" pipe fitting always fits 3/4" pipe, which makes sense.
So 3/4" schedule 40 will have a smaller ID than 3/4" schedule 10.
Makes my head hurt.
