Here are some picts of the newly "rejuvenated" BJ42. We put on a 4" lift, Rancho's, ARB in front, Detroit rear with 4.56 gears all new braking components, and an old 24V 6000 lbs Military Warn winch along with some tubed sliders. Also pulled off the rusty old hardtop and put on a bikini top (although with 8" of new snow on the ground here I am wondering if that was a good idea).
Anyway, we took the Cruiser up to Moab for a few days of wheelin' and here are some picts. The trip was cut short when the clutch started slipping near the start of Pritchett Canyon, and failed all together on Rocker Knocker.
Here ya go,

Is that a stretched round bezel?

Yup, the diamond plate covers cancer. It was a Canadian truck most of its life on the east side. Back half is pretty bad, front half is okay.
The front bib and bezel are off of an earlier model FJ40. I prefer the round bezel to the later square one, and my bib was pretty rotted on the bottom edge. Not necessarily a concours truck, but I still like it.

also just noticed- I really dig the rocker protection; I like how the back kicks out!

When is Sandi going to make you loose the treadplate sides? I know she has a hangup with that doesn't she? Good looking rig though, but I got some nice wheel covers that would spice it up for ya.
How do you like that engine compared to your Rover Tdi? You know it is rumoured that it will bolt in place of a series rover engine. And the rover Tdi uses the same old bolt pattern as the series. Well close enough, just loose a few studs.
You know maybe don't fix that cancer. Part that Toy out and build up a Rover with that drivetrain and smoker motor.
This will be my only post in this forum. Looking forward to the flames as I leave.
