a buddy of mine just got a 89 f150 4x4 351w with a c6 auto, he wants to rebuild the motor and trans since he isnt sure how many miles it really has. should he go the forged route for the pistons and rods and such? also how reliable is the C6, and is it smart to "build" one or find a new one to build?
how complicated would it be to swap in a D60 front? and about how long would it see the "down" time?(have tools, abd lifts avalible)
what gears would give the best MPG and still power some 35-38 meats? my guess would be 4.88?
