what did you do about the traney crossmenber that is in the way of the drive shaft

Im assuming you mean a lifted S10, maybe even a solid front axle S10, the problem of the tranny crossmember being in the way of the front d-shaft? I am doing a SAS to my S10 in a couple months and i plan to take some 1/4" plate steel, make an oval shape driveshaft loop, cut out the part of the x-member thats in the way and weld the heavy duty loop in there. Maybe add a couple triangular gussets from the flat part of the crossmember to the loop i made, if i think its needed.

i used a 6 inch long section of six inch diameter pipe, 1/4 inch thick, and cut it in half like a halfmoon. then welded it in place of the metal i cut out of the way of the front driveshaft then braced it with some small tabs of steel. works great!
