ok so i wanna get some axles under my jeep i am sick of wasting time and money repairing what i got....also i wanna regear and figure no sense in spending cash on gears for axles i need to throw out anyway.....the question is should i get d-60's or ford nines....i know clearance is an isssue witht the 60's but i also know the front u joints on the nines can be weak....i wanna run 38's and was wondering which route i should go

60s for 38s. Or buy a front 9 with super duty outers from Currie if you like 9s and have money to toss at it.
Rear 9 is plenty strong, but the pinion is awful low, it'll whack your drive shaft on the rocks.

and a reg 60 will be stronger than the $$$ 9

There is absolutely no clearance problem getting 60s under a TJ. I am looking at a TJ right now with a long arm kit and 60s.

when i said clearence i meant ground clearence when compared to the 9 inch....i think i have decided that strenght is more important than ground clearence to me and i am gonna get 60's
