Can you run 44's with 4.56's?? I have a sm465 tranny , is this possible.

What enigne? Better be a torqy Mofo. I gurantee at every stop light you'll be shiftin 'er into granny low to get going.

I'm running 4:10's and 42" TSL's. I also have a 472, so its not lacking 'cubes. If you don't have dual t cases, your crawl ratio if going to be pretty gross, even with the 465's initial ratio.

yeah youll be fine, i run 49" iroks on 2.73s, with a custom swapped in d35 for extra strength.

Yes, you can run 44's with 4.56's. I did it for 2 years with a mild 350 and sm465. Heck now I am running 4.10s while I setup a front 60 with 5.13s. I do have a doubler (witch I would recomend you get)...but for most wheeling I hardly use it. The granny gear on the sm465 is so low you'll be fine. I found on the road with the 4.56 gears I could start out of 2nd with little problem; but 4.10 gears require starting out of 1st most of the time.

Now you won't be a street speed deamon, and you will have to use 3rd gear to pull some hills but I have no problem running 65-70 on the highway. Heck we don't build these trucks for the highway anyway...its what they can do offroad that counts.

like others said it wont be able to win a race but it should be fine w/ the manual and get a doubler

Awesome Guys, Thanks for the info.... But sence i dont have the duel T-casses, I just have the 205 case when I putit in 1st gear and in 4lo is my crawl ratio gonna suck??

You will be somewhere around 64:1 with 4:56 gears Sm465 Tranny in Granny gear and 205 Tcase in Low range. Not to bad, not a crawler, but should get around the rocks ok. :D
